SBC Trombone players attended Dr. Martin McCain Trombone Recital

Known for his musical expression, trombonist Martin McCain's career as a musician spans an impressive scope of genres.  As a soloist, Dr. McCain has appeared with numerous ensembles and performs recitals throughout North America and internationally.  In 2010, Dr. McCain joined the faculty of Texas State University, where he maintains an active performing trombone studio and serves as founder/director of the Texas State Trombone Symposium.

6C David Ma Man Ho successfully selected to Jockey Club Keys to Music Education Programme "Share the Stage!" with Lorin Maazel and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra

Congratulations to David Ma Man Ho who has been selected as the flutist in the programme "Share the Stage!" organized by Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.  David is going to perform WAGNER's The Mastersingers of Nuremberg Overture with Hong Kong Phil under the baton of the world renowned conductor Maestro Lorin Maazel.

Lorin Maazel is a titan of the orchestral world – former Music Director of the New York Philharmonic and conductor of legendary performances over decades with the world’s most famous orchestras.

In October, Maestro Maazel will direct a special educational project – the “Jockey Club Keys to Music Education Programme”, working with young instrumentalists of Hong Kong, side by side with the HK Phil.

Lorin Maazel is renowned for his work nurturing young artists. For one night only, Maestro Maazel will talk to Michael MacLeod, Chief Executive of the HK Phil, sharing his experiences of inspiring young people with music. Then he will conduct a public working session, featuring the specially formed side-by-side orchestra. Come and attend the concert to hear what these student players achieve under the baton of Maestro Maazel.
